Camera visibility sites updated every 15 minutes.
This page shows current images from all CAMNET sites. Air pollution and poor visibility often occur on a regional basis, especially during the summer. On such days, a white haze can be seen affecting many CAMNET sites simultaneously or within one day of each other, depending on the speed with which pollutants are transported by the wind. The ubiquity of many pollution sources (such as cars and trucks) and the long-range transport of air pollutants over hundreds of miles make regional air pollution a critical issue in the Northeast and other parts of the country.
